Bart Hettema

Bart Hettema was born and raised in The Hague. After graduating from his bachelor Electrical Engineering at Delft University of Technology, he has decided to dedicate himself to designing and building a top of the line electrical system for the new solar racing car Nuna9. Because of his strong dedication, he can often be found late at night in the workshop or in the office. In his spare time, he likes to sail with a sailing boat originating from 1875 that has been completely restored and modernized. Bart has been closely involved in this renovating process of the boat’s electrical system and has gained a lot of experience doing so. He uses this experience well which results in a better and more reliable electrical system for Nuna9 than ever before. According to Bart, only the best parts are good enough and in collaboration with the best high tech companies he makes sure the electrical system couldn’t be of higher quality. Bart is also able to come up with elegant solutions and fix everything quickly thanks to his great insight in the car’s electrical system.
