Wubbo Ockels
Wubbo Ockels is the first Dutch astronaut. After his
adventures in space he started working for the
Europen Space Agency (ESA) and the university. Currently, he is
fulltime professor at the TU Delft. The combination of youth and technology
is his main interest.
Wubbo Ockels brings the team in contact with different companies and gives advice on all kind of aspects. Due to the previous Nuna-teams and the World Solar Challenge 2003 and 2005 he is the most experienced person in the team.
Eric Trottemant
Eric Trottemant graduated in 1999 at the faculty of Aerospace Engineering.
He started working for the ESA Education Office in Noordwijk. Eric has been
part of the Nuna project since the very beginning. During the World Solar Challenges
2001 and 2003 Eric took care of the strategy. With its own strategic program, based on
genetic algorithms, Eric will determine the optimal driving velocity during
the World Solar Challenge 2005 as well.
Tim de Lange
Tim de Lange founded the Alpha Centauri Team in 2000, together
with Ramon Martinez. This team became the first Dutch winner of the
World Solar Challenge in 2001, with the Nuna 1. At the moment, Tim works as
Technical Researcher at ASSET. He helps the team with the motors and
motorcontrollers. He will be part of the team
during the race in September.
Joris Melkert
Engineer Joris Melkert is a former student at the faculty of Aerospace Engineering, TU Delft.
At the moment he works as professor assistant for ASSET (AeroSpace for
Sustainable Engineering and Technology) at the faculty of Aerospace Engineering.
He supports the team with professional advice. His assistance during the production
of the Nuna 3 is very much appreciated!
Ir. L.M.M. Boermans
During the aerodynamic proces the team could always count on the professional
advice from engineer Boermans from the Low Speed Aerodynamic Department, TU Delft.
He has been involved in the project since the first Nuna was designed 5 years ago.
His experience was priceless during the design proces and the windtunneltests.
