Newsletter - 3D printed mini Nuna

15-03-2016 / Newsletter - 3D printed mini Nuna

It has been an exciting week for the team with all the sponsors coming over to see Nuna. Furthermore the first application letters for Nuna9 have been received and we are able to say that Viba and Delta Elektronika will be our proud partners for another year!
Sponsor drink

Last week our partners of last year were able to see Nuna for the first time after her arrival back in the Netherlands. As a thank you gift for last year every partner got a 3D printed mini Nuna to take home. The highlight of the evening however was the gift we got from Nuon, a signed shirt from Daphne Schippers.
Also for coming year we can already say some of the deals have been signed. We would like to thank Stud en Soltegro for sponsoring us another year!

Apply for Nuna9

Coming week on the 16th and 18th of February you can visit our workshop to ask all your questions about being on the Nuon Solar Team. You can apply for technical and non-technical functions such as teamleader, technical manager and sponsoring. For an overview of all the functions you can go to our website www.nuonsolarteam.com. If you are interested in applying for Nuna9 you can send your CV and motivation letter to [email protected]

Did you know… I
that we save all of our valuable data such as calculations and technical drawings to Dropbox?

Did you know… II
that every year about fifteen new students are admitted on the team?

Crowdfunding

Sunday the 28th of February Nuna can be found on the RWC Ahoy with the 17 people who took part in the crowdfunding action last year. This event will be the closing event of the Nuna8 project. Nuna will then officially be handed over to the Nuna8s team!
Just like last year we will set up a crowdfunding campaign so everybody, including you, can help the Nuna8s team win the worldcup. We’ll keep you posted!

In the spotlights

One by one we will introduce all of our team members in the newsletters. Today we would like to introduce you to Johan Mes.

Johan is one of the electro engineers of the Nuon Solar Team, he is responsible for all of the electrical components in and around Nuna. Johan is also responsible for the ICT of the team. The last couple of weeks he has been busy replacing the server for a new one and transferring all of our data to the new server. With his passion and eagle eye for development of electronics Johan will do everything in his power to keep the world cup in Delft this year. When Johan is not working on Nuna you can often find him in the gym.
