Together with Energieonderzoek Centrum Nederland the Nuon Solar Team is going back for gold! ECN is a R&D centre for sustainable energy. The company is provided with all facilities to innovate in the energy sector, thanks to that is has becomes a national and internationally known innovator in that field. 60% of all solar panels in the world contain ECN-technology.
The Nuon Solar Team tests solar panels with different treatments, so that we can get the highest performance possible from the incoming solar rays. We have tested different incapsulations on the solar panels with varying solar angles, with the most accurate machinery.
Besides that ECN helped in milling and lathing the mechanic parts of Nuna7. In the workshop where only R&D parts are produced with the tiniest tolerances we produced most of the metal Nuna7 parts. Innovation in sustainable energy, the ECN and the Nuon Solar Team’s passion.
